Presented by OUTreach Southern Alberta Society, Queer 101 focuses on LGBTQ+ terminology and language, clarifying terms and providing a safe space for discussion about sexual orientation and gender identity. Queer 101 also identifies what it means to be an active ally to the queer community, and establishes what you can do to show your support.

These sessions are open to all members of the public.

In addition, as an effort to eliminate violence experienced by members of the LGBTQ+ community, Lethbridge Pride Fest has mandated that all vendors in Pride in the Park (June 23) and all community program partners MUST complete OUTreach Southern Alberta Society’s Queer 101 Training or an equivalent training.

SESSION #1 – Saturday, June 2 (Crossings Branch Public Library – 255 Britannia Blvd. W.) 2:00 p.m.

SESSION #2 – Monday, June 4 (Crossings Branch Public Library – 255 Britannia Blvd. W.) 7:00 p.m.

Parade participants are not required to attend, but welcome.
