Celebrate Gay Uncles Day
Aug. 11, 2019 The goal in promoting this day of celebration is to normalize the role of the gay uncle, cousin, brother… in families and in society.
The more visible they are, and the more forthright they and their loved ones are of their very existence, we help grow acceptance of their role in today’s society.
Trans PULSE Canada survey is open. To participate, you must be aged 14 or older, live in Canada, and have a gender identity that differs from the sex you were assigned at birth. You don’t have to identify personally as transgender, trans, or non-binary, you don’t have to be living day-to-day in your true gender, and you don’t have to be taking hormones.

HIV Prevention Day
Today is the world’s second HIV Prevention Day.
There are several ways to prevent the transmission of HIV, with condoms being the most widely accessible and frequently used form of HIV and STI transmission prevention. Other ways include discussing your sexual health with your sexual partner. PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) medication that prevents transmission of HIV.
Queer Community Needs Assessment Survey of Lethbridge and Area. If you are a part of the queer spectrum, please take the time to fill this out! Findings from this survey will be used to inform the work of OUTreach Southern Alberta, as well as other organizations serving the LGBTQ+ community in Southern Alberta.
International Non-Binary People’s Day
July 14 We recognize that this is an important day for visibility and that we have a long way to go to increase awareness and understanding about non-binary people. Non-binary is an umbrella term for all genders other than female/male or woman/man. Non-binary people do not identify exclusively as male/female or woman/man.

LGBT2QIA+ STEM Day
July 5, 2019 LGBT2QIA+ people in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) continue to struggle to openly be themselves. 🔸️28% of LGBT+ have at some point considered leaving their workplace because of the climate or discrimination towards LGBT+ people.
🔸️20% of trans people had often considered leaving their workplace.
As Chair Of Lethbridge Pride Fest 2019 and on behalf of the entire Lethbridge Pride Fest Board, I would like to thank our Community, Allies, Partners and Sponsors for making Pride Fest 2019 such an amazing success.

Lethbridge School District No. 51 GSA students, staff, and families were honoured to act as the official Parade Marshals for Lethbridge Pride Fest's 2019 Pride Parade. "It was a wonderful time to celebrate together and to pay tribute to those who have walked this road before us.
